Motilal Oswal Foundation Extends Relief to Flood-Hit Marathwada, Commits Rs.50 lakh for immediate relief.

Promised to match 1:1 for every employee donation

Mumbai, October 1, 2025: Motilal Oswal Foundation has announced a ?50 lakh donation to aid relief efforts in Maharashtra''s flood-affected Marathwada region. Additionally, the Foundation has promised to match the contributions made by Group employees in a 1:1 ratio. The Global Vikas Trust, which actively supports and aids impacted communities and farmers, will facilitate the distribution of funds for whatever flood-hit people need.

Demonstrating personal commitment, Mr. Raamdeo Agrawal and Mrs. Suneeta Agrawal, Trustees of Motilal Oswal Foundation, visited Marathwada to inspect the situation with Mr. Mayank Gandhi and his team at Global Vikas Trust (GVT) and initiate relief measures on the ground.

This initiative builds upon the Foundation’s existing partnership with GVT through the Krishikul project, inaugurated in 2024 in Parli, Maharashtra, a 25-acre pioneering farmer training centre. While Krishikul focuses on long-term farmer empowerment and sustainable livelihoods, the flood relief effort reflects the Foundation’s responsiveness to immediate community needs.

Motilal Oswal, Group MD & CEO, MOFSL said, At Motilal Oswal Foundation, we see our role as being present for society in times of crisis and growth. Our support for Marathwada is about responding with urgency and empathy to communities devastated by floods, and ensuring that relief reaches them through our partnership with Global Vikas Trust.”

Raamdeo Agrawal, Chairman, MOFSL, added, Being a farmer’s son, I deeply relate to the struggles and aspirations of rural India. The floods in Marathwada are a painful reminder of how vulnerable our farming communities remain. Times and crises are changing, and so must our preparedness and response. Through our work with Global Vikas Trust, we want the help to reach quickly and support farmers in rebuilding their lives. It’s time for the entire farming community to stay united and strong in the face of such crises.

Through this initiative, Motilal Oswal Foundation reaffirms its social commitment, combining empathy in moments of crisis with visionary, long-term investments in rural upliftment.
