Motilal Oswal Foundation Partners with Rohan Bopanna Tennis Development Foundation to Launch ‘Advantage Program’ for India’s Emerging Tennis Talent

Commits ₹6 crore over three years as catalytic capital to build a disciplined, performance-driven ecosystem

Mumbai/Bengaluru, 28 February 2026: Motilal Oswal Foundation (MOF), the philanthropic arm of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited, has announced a strategic partnership with the Rohan Bopanna Tennis Development Foundation (RBTDF) to launch the Motilal Oswal Foundation Advantage Program - a structured three-year high-performance pathway designed to support India’s most promising tennis talent.

With a focused commitment of ₹6 crore over three years, the Advantage Program represents catalytic capital aimed at building a replicable model for athlete development in Indian tennis. The initiative reflects the Foundation’s belief that excellence in sport, much like excellence in enterprise, requires disciplined systems, long-term capital, and measurable performance milestones.

The Memorandum of Understanding formalising the partnership was signed on 28 February 2026 at Motilal Oswal Tower, Mumbai, in the presence of internationally acclaimed Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna. Also present were Pratiksha Mehta, Pratik Mehta, and Pratik Oswal, Directors of the Motilal Oswal Foundation.
It is widely known that India has no shortage of sporting talent. What often constrains global breakthrough is sustained access to structured training, sports science, competitive exposure, and financial stability.

The Advantage Program has been designed to address precisely this gap.

Anchored at the Rohan Bopanna Tennis Academy in Bengaluru, the program will provide selected athletes with:

• Professional coaching and structured performance planning
• Integrated sports science and fitness support
• International tournament exposure
• Ongoing performance analytics and monitoring
• Financial backing to enable competitive participation at global events

The inaugural cohort will prioritise emerging tennis players who have demonstrated strong national and international results, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to strengthening India’s presence in global tennis. As the program evolves, additional high-potential athletes will be onboarded into a focused, high-performance training group.

The program will operate under a clearly defined performance governance structure, including quarterly athletic and financial reviews. Progress will be measured through international ranking movement, tournament performance, and holistic development benchmarks.

This disciplined oversight ensures that capital deployment remains aligned with outcomes, reinforcing the Foundation’s philosophy of patient yet performance-driven philanthropy.
